Shock spring - tuning notes

This linear shock spring is supplied for use as a direct swap into general shock assemblies on R/C models. The 3.2 marking refers to the chosen spring rate, which tuners use to alter how the vehicle responds under acceleration, braking and cornering on both electric and nitro platforms.

To install: remove the shock cap and shaft assembly, take off the current spring, slide the replacement onto the shock shaft and set preload with the spring collar. Verify the spring is seated squarely at each end and that the shaft slides freely through the coil without binding.

For setup, linear springs change the static spring rate and preload behaviour without modifying damper characteristics. Use identical springs on paired corners to preserve balance, make small preload changes while evaluating handling, and document each setting so you can backtrack if needed.
