Front Spring for Off-Road RC Vehicles

This front suspension spring is produced for RC off-road use and is listed under Yokomo model YOKRP-083O. The orange finish identifies the spring and it is intended to change the front spring rate when installed in off-road front suspension assemblies.

Fitment relies on the dimensions of your shocks and spring seats. Compare free length and coil diameter with your current front springs to ensure the spring sits correctly on the shock shaft and in the retainer. Note that this product is a replacement spring and not a complete shock absorber.

Basic installation guidance: for those familiar with shock servicing, remove the shock from the chassis, remove the shock cap to access the spring, swap springs as required, then reassemble ensuring proper seating and free movement of the shock shaft. Keep preload equal on both sides to preserve handling symmetry.

Tuning notes: changing front springs affects ride height and how the front end resists compression, which changes turn-in behavior and weight transfer characteristics. Use spring changes in combination with shock oil and piston choices to achieve a balanced setup for off-road driving.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Verify the free length and coil diameter match your shock retainer and that the spring will not bind on the shock shaft or inside the shock body.
Not always; piston and oil changes alter damping while springs change spring rate. You may want to adjust oil or pistons if you want a substantially different handling balance.
Compatibility varies by shock design and retainer size; measure your shock and compare dimensions to ensure fitment.
