RP Drift Wheel Installation and Setup

The RP-6313Y6 from Yokomo is a 1/10 scale drift wheel created to modify contact geometry while giving a traction-oriented contact patch for controlled drifting. It comes as a single-color yellow offset wheel with 6 mm of offset to shift tyre position for setup tuning.

Fitment: suitable for 1/10 drift applications and compatible with many standard drift hubs and rims, but you must confirm hub hex and wheel bore sizes before installation. Compatibility with a particular model requires matching hub dimensions.

Installation notes: remove the stock wheel, align the wheel bore and hub hex, then fasten using the original wheel nut or proper mounting hardware. Check the wheel for balance and any axial or radial play before operating. If your setup needs it, use threadlocker on hub hardware and recheck after the first session.

Tuning role: the 6 mm offset shifts the tyre contact patch outward relative to the mounting face, impacting track width and scrub characteristics. Combine offset changes with suspension and toe adjustments to refine how the car initiates drifts and holds a slide.

What steps should I follow to fit this wheel correctly?

Remove the old wheel, check bore and hex alignment, fit the new wheel onto the hub, and tighten with the original nut or correct hardware. Inspect balance and play before driving.

Do I need to balance or glue tyres after mounting?

Balance the tyre visually or with a balancing method you prefer. Use tyre glue when required by the tyre type and ensure even seating to avoid wobble during drifting.

Is threadlocker recommended for the hub hardware?

If your setup experiences vibration or frequent loosening, apply a mild threadlocker to hub fasteners. Check and retighten after the first run to confirm security.
