Small spacers for fine tuning

This pack contains eight 3x6x1.5mm aluminum shims/collars in red manufactured by Yokomo, intended as small, precise spacers for hobby R/C models. The rings are intended to sit where a thin, rigid shim is required to correct wheel spacing, centre an axle, or take up a small amount of lateral play in assemblies that accept a 3x6x1.5mm washer-style part.

Anodized aluminum gives a uniform, corrosion-resistant surface compared with plain steel washers and helps keep added mass to a minimum. The red colour aids quick identification when sorting parts during builds and setup work.

To fit, slide the collar over a shaft or position it between hub faces where a thin spacer is necessary, then reassemble the related hardware. Check clearances and rotate the assembly to ensure there is no binding; trial-fit without final fasteners if needed to confirm proper fit.

In practice, these collars are ideal for incremental setup changes—stack collars to subtly adjust track width, tweak bearing preload, or remove small axial play without altering major components. Carry extra collars to enable quick on-the-fly geometry tests.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Stacking one or more collars changes effective track width and can subtly influence grip and steering feel; use small increments and test between runs.
Yes, adding a collar between components can modify axial clearance and affect preload. Verify bearing rotation after adjustment to avoid excess friction.
The collars are thin and made from lightweight aluminum, so individual pieces add negligible mass; the tuning benefit typically outweighs the tiny weight penalty.
