6mm body mount backing for RC shells

This 6mm body mount patch set is a small RC accessory engineered to protect painted shells and reinforce the openings where body posts sit. The pack contains 8pcs sized for body mounts that require a 6mm thickness. Install the patches on the shell interior to reduce paint wear and distribute forces around the mounting hole.

Fitting is about ensuring correct placement and clearance: line the patch up so the central aperture matches the body post, press it flat to the shell backing, and check that posts and hardware clear when the shell is mounted to the chassis. Trim sparingly if a cleaner fit is needed and re-verify on the car.

For everyday use these patches provide preventative reinforcement against tearing from frequent removal and help retain the shell finish where clips or posts repeatedly contact painted areas. They are suited to shells with a 6mm post backing or where similar reinforcement is desired.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Yes, the patches help reduce edge tearing and wear from frequent removal by reinforcing the area around the mount hole.
When fitted and trimmed correctly they should not alter shell fit; always check clearance against posts and chassis hardware after installation.
Trim small amounts and test repeatedly on the car. Use a sharp blade and make incremental cuts to avoid removing too much material.
