Upgrade Your Shock Tops

The Yokomo YS-8HD shock cap set includes four replacement top caps designed for RC damper assemblies. These units form the top mounting and sealing point on the shock and are supplied for use during rebuilds or standard maintenance routines.

Manufactured with an anodized aluminium surface, the caps provide a wear resistant contact area and are handy when altering preload, inspecting piston travel, or swapping worn parts. Installation follows basic damper teardown and rebuild steps: remove the shock head, replace the caps, ensure seals and thread engagement are correct, then reassemble. Standard hobby tools are generally adequate for the job.

Supplied as a 4 pcs set, they suit RC-scale dampers that take this cap style and offer a quick method to refresh the shock top for improved service life.

Will these caps change shock feel or performance

They are replacement top caps and do not alter internal shock geometry. Any perceived change is usually due to reassembled seals or altered preload when performing the rebuild.

Is special hardware required to fit the YS-8HD caps

No special hardware is typically needed. Use the same fasteners where possible and common hobby tools to secure the caps.
