Compact Insulation for RC Wiring

The Yokomo YT-TUMA Heat Shrink Tube is designed to protect and tidy wiring on electric RC models. This medium tube is 100mm long with an approximate 5mm internal diameter, suitable for 12-16 gauge silicone cords used on motors and batteries.

Applying the Shrink Tube

This sleeve adds insulation and abrasion protection to connections. Slide it over the lead, then warm it with a heat gun or lighter until it shrinks and forms a close fit. The tightened sleeve helps prevent shorts and keeps joints secure.

Once heated the material contracts to make a snug fit around 12-16 gauge silicone leads, improving mechanical support for soldered joints and connectors.

Can I use multiple tubes on a single run?

Yes. You can apply short sections to cover individual joints or use longer pieces to protect a whole length of exposed wiring depending on the repair or build needs.
