Graphite brace engineered for the YR-X12 chassis

The Yokomo YX-03 graphite upper brace is an aftermarket component made for 1/12 competition machines and tailored to the YR-X12 chassis form. It replaces the original upper brace area and retains the factory attachment points for a direct fit.

The upgrade raises torsional stiffness of the upper structure, changing how the chassis reacts under load to refine steering feel and weight transfer. This effect is achieved without altering the suspension pick-up points, so tuning remains focused on shocks and roll control devices.

Fitting uses the YR-X12's existing mounts; no chassis modification is required. Confirm the condition of existing screws and alignment during assembly to avoid introducing stress through uneven preload.

Routine checks are simple: look for surface damage or hole wear after events and renew any fasteners that have lost thread integrity. Keeping the component free of grit will help maintain predictable behaviour during setup and race days.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
No adhesives are required. The YX-03 secures to the existing YR-X12 upper mounts with the standard hardware and does not need bonding for proper fitment.
Stiffening the upper structure can change high-speed behaviour; some drivers notice crisper steering and a sharper transition at the limit. Counter this with damper or anti-roll adjustments rather than altering geometry.
Inspect for hairline cracks, check that mounting holes remain round, and verify fastener torque. Replace any compromised screws to keep fitment consistent.
