Overview of the YZ-2CAL3.1 long main chassis

Designed for the YZ-2CAL3.1 family, this hard main chassis uses a long-version layout to increase the wheelbase versus the stock CAL3 plate, producing a steadier chassis at speed. The top surface is finished for high grip to change tyre loading and feedback through corners.

It is intended as a tuning component to refine on-track balance and handling rather than a simple replacement plate; the chassis alters how suspension and weight transfer settings behave. Fitting involves removing the original main plate and reinstalling hardware to the YZ-2CAL3.1-compatible mounting points listed below.

Use this main chassis when you need a firmer setup for grippy circuits and a longer wheelbase to stabilise high-speed sections and mid-corner balance; pair it with conservative suspension and anti-roll changes when refining your setup.

Remark :

The hard main chassis is manufactured for track durability. It provides a firmer platform that resists flex under high loads, though like any chassis it should be inspected after heavy impacts for cracks or mounting wear.
Grip finishes can show wear over time depending on abrasive track surfaces and cleaning methods. Check the top surface periodically and avoid aggressive solvents that could degrade the finish.
If the RTR uses the YZ-2CAL3.1 mounting pattern, the plate will fit without chassis modification. Confirm electronics and accessory placements do not conflict with the longer wheelbase before sealing installation.
Regularly inspect mounting holes and fasteners for loosening. Re-torque hardware after the first few runs and check the plate for any developing stress marks after heavy impacts.
