Durable Aluminum Lower Mount

This aluminum front lower suspension mount is engineered for the YZ-2 2WD off-road chassis, swapping out the original plastic lower mount for a machined metal component. The inner suspension arm pin seating is formed at a 25 degree skid angle and the edges are given a beveled treatment.

As an aftermarket replacement component, the mount delivers a firmer attachment point than stock plastic, retains factory mounting geometry, and connects with existing suspension pins and compatible hardware on the specified chassis models.

Fitting is the usual process for YZ-2 lower mounts: remove front lower arm pins, exchange the mount, and reuse original compatible fasteners where appropriate. Intended solely for hobby model chassis.

Because the mount is stiffer than plastic, chassis flex at the lower arm mounting point is reduced, which can produce a slightly firmer front-end feel. Effects depend on overall setup and driving conditions.
The machined aluminium construction is more durable than plastic for repeated use, but inspect associated hardware and pins regularly as they can wear differently when paired with metal mounts.
The factory-set 25 degree inner arm pin angle is part of the mount geometry; account for that dimension when dialing in suspension settings in order to maintain intended arm orientation.
Aluminium resists permanent deformation better than plastic, offering consistent fit over many runs. However, metal parts can transfer wear to mating pins, so periodic inspection is recommended.
