Aluminium resists deformation better than standard plastic mounts, so it tends to hold geometry after heavy impacts. Severe hits can still damage it, so inspect after big crashes.

Using a mild threadlocker on the mounting screws is recommended to prevent loosening under vibration, while still allowing future removal for maintenance.

Are there tuning tips for sandy tracks?

On loose sand, try raising the pin height for a slightly higher roll center and firmer turn-in. Combine this with heavier damping to control rebound and keep the front end planted.
