Rear Traction Upgrade Using Steel Hardware

The Yokomo Z2-300RFSA is a steel upgrade part for the YZ-2 series that increases rear traction by adding weight where aluminium mounts are normally fitted. It mounts on the front side of the rear suspension and helps the vehicle hold better on power and through mid-corner exits.

Steel adds both weight and toughness compared with aluminium, so you should see improved resistance to impact and wear while gaining traction benefits. However, inspect mounting hardware regularly for proper torque.

Will fitting this affect lap times?

In many setups the added rear grip can lead to faster, more consistent lap times by reducing rear slides. Results depend on track surface and the rest of your suspension tuning.
