Rear RF mount to influence roll and steering on YZ-4/YZ-2DTM

This aluminum rear suspension mount is an optional tuning component for the 4WD YZ-4 platform, compatible with the L5 suspension arm. The RF unit shifts the front-side pin position compared to the standard rear mount, shortening the pin spacing by 2mm versus the stock rear mount.

When paired as a set with the rear mount Z4-300LRR and fitted with the 1mm longer L5 arm Z4-008RS5, the combination lets you widen the track while keeping the longer arm geometry unchanged. That approach helps keep the original roll behaviour while providing a marginally wider stance.

On high-traction surfaces such as carpet or artificial turf, running a firmer suspension setup together with this mount tends to produce moderate chassis roll and crisper turn-in without compromising baseline handling. To shift front-to-rear balance, pair this mount with the 1mm longer front arm Z4-008F1 for a more neutral setup.

Tuning role and installation notes: designed as a tuning option rather than an exact geometry replacement; confirm pin alignment and clearance at installation and adjust springs and damping gradually to find the right high-grip setup.

Compatibility: Supported chassis B-YZ2DTMW / B-YZ2CA / B-YZ2DT / B-YZ2DTM / B-YZ4

By reducing front-side pin spacing by 2mm, the mount typically encourages slightly faster initial turn-in and a controlled increase in chassis roll mid-corner when combined with firmer springs and damping.
Start with small increases in spring rate and slightly firmer damping; test incremental changes and consider the rear mate Z4-300LRR and the 1mm longer L5 arm Z4-008RS5 to achieve the intended track and handling balance.
Yes. Using the 1mm longer front arm Z4-008F1 helps neutralise front-to-rear balance after widening the rear track with this mount and its mate.
