The carrier itself does not alter servo throw, but the increased caster feel can make steering feel tighter; adjust servo endpoints if needed.

Should I change other steering parts when installing this?

It pairs well with metal turnbuckles and reinforced knuckles. Upgrading related fasteners and bearings can reduce play and maximise the benefit.
