The Yokomo ZR-DRTA Tire Mounting Tape is designed to assist with mounting solid competition resin drift tyres like the DRA and DRC series on RC wheels. The tape's slightly firm sponge is about 2.5mm thick and offers dependable support inside the tyre.

How to Fit Tapered-Diameter Tyres

Because DRA/DRC tyres have a tapered inner diameter, they can be awkward to seat on the rim. The ZR-DRTA tape helps overcome that by providing an even contact surface. Remove the backing paper, stick the tape to the wheel, then fit the tyre starting from the larger inner diameter for a smooth result.

Tips to Keep Tyres Secure

To avoid tyres coming off during aggressive runs, apply an instant adhesive at a few points in the tyre-to-wheel gap. Small, evenly spaced applications will improve adhesion without interfering with tyre balance.
