The Yokomo YX-40S shaft and piston set serves as a direct RC-scale replacement for pitching dampers on 1/12 YRX 12 competition vehicles. Included pistons offer two-hole and three-hole choices so you can tailor flow and damping character. It is intended for YR-X12 and YR-X1219 chassis applications.

Fitting is simple for anyone used to 1/12 shocks: remove the damper, open the shock body, exchange the piston/shaft, then reassemble with your chosen oil and shims. Always check O-rings and seals and run a few test laps to confirm behavior.

Tuning note: the two-hole piston increases restriction for stronger pitch control whereas the three-hole piston permits greater flow and a sharper transient feel. Combine piston selection with oil grade changes to achieve the desired balance.
