This YS Engine YSF1538 push rod cover set provides a straightforward replacement to protect the push rod zone on small glow and nitro model engines. The items are placed where push rods pass around rocker and valve mechanisms to reduce debris entry and minimise wear on exposed linkages during normal running.

Fitting is simple for a modeller used to routine engine service: open access to the push rod area per the engine manual, remove any old covers, slide the new covers over the push rods and reattach original retainers. No specialised tools are necessary beyond the usual hex drivers that suit the engine fasteners.

For tuning and maintenance the covers help maintain rod alignment and shield linkages during bench checks, break-in runs and routine servicing. This is an aftermarket RC accessory and must be used only on scale model engines following the manufacturer's service guidance.
