Tuning impact on YZ-2 handling

This aluminium centre link is an RC-scale replacement part made for the YZ-2 2WD off-road platform. With a black anodized beveled edge, the component stiffens the steering centre assembly and can tighten steering feedback when compared with standard components.

The link fits the listed YZ-2 variants and is meant as a direct swap for the original centre rod in the steering geometry. When used, it reduces flex at the centre pivot and can provide a more predictable steering response across different track layouts.

To fit, remove the original centre link from the steering assembly and install this aluminium unit in the same orientation, taking care to preserve toe and roll-center settings during reassembly. After installation, confirm wheel alignment and ensure steering arms operate freely to prevent binding.

Compatibility

  • B-YZ2
  • B-YZ2CA
  • B-YZ2DT

  • B-YZ2DTMW
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The stiffer aluminium centre link reduces steering center flex, which can sharpen turn-in and make steering inputs feel more immediate during high-precision tuning sessions.
It is recommended to check and, if needed, tweak toe and roll-center settings after installation to retain the handling balance you prefer.
In most cases a direct swap is sufficient. If you are chasing a specific handling characteristic, consider pairing the link with matched steering components for consistency.
