Design Notes for YZ-2T Rear Shock Shaft

This shaft is an RC-scale replacement intended for the rear shock of the 2WD racing truck YZ-2T. The titanium-coated surface is used to reduce surface wear and preserve consistent piston travel under frequent running.

The piston is fastened to the shaft with screws, improving alignment and operating accuracy during compression and rebound. When original shafts become worn or scored, this part can be fitted as a direct replacement to recover shock performance.

Although the shaft does not alter spring rate or the viscosity of shock oil, a smoother piston surface promotes steady damping response and more reliable tuning outcomes across sessions.

Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The shaft itself does not change spring stiffness or oil damping, but maintaining a smoother shaft surface can make the damping feel more consistent and predictable.
Securing the piston with screws helps keep it aligned, which improves repeatability of damping adjustments and reduces variation between runs.
Yes. This shaft is intended as a direct replacement for worn or scored rear shock shafts on the YZ-2T rear shocks.
