Beveled aluminum idler mount for YZ-4

The Z4-BTS belt tensioner set is an accessory made to help control belt tension and permit fine positional adjustment of the idler on YZ-4 models. The holder is produced from aluminum and has a beveled edge to limit interference inside the gearbox area.

The kit supplies two different screws so you can choose the correct bearing offset for either front or rear positions, plus a spacer to alter the bearing placement when necessary. Select the correct screw for the axle location and check belt tension after fitting to prevent slippage or excess preload.

Installation is relatively simple for experienced hobbyists: remove the existing idler, install the aluminum holder, pick the screw that provides the desired offset, fit the spacer if needed, and run a short test to confirm belt alignment. This item is intended for tuning use and does not change primary drivetrain geometry.

Compatibility

  • Supported Chassis B-YZ4
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Use the screw that matches the rear offset specification; the two supplied screws are clearly different and choosing the rear offset positions the bearing correctly for rear mounting.
After installation, perform a short run to confirm belt alignment and tension, making minor adjustments if you see slack or tight spots.
It can slightly move idler geometry; usually you will not need a new belt, but always re-check fit and tension and replace the belt if it sits outside safe tension.
