Front center dogbone functions for YZ-4S

This component is the front centre drive shaft specified for the YZ-4S layout, supplied as a 66mm dogbone for builds that need the extended centre bone. It is intended for use on the RC YZ-4S chassis when adjusting the centre drive and slipper clutch configuration.

Installation guidance: the 66mm length offers clearance for slipper clutch assemblies while preserving the intended driveline geometry at the front centre. When fitting, check interaction with your outdrives and slipper parts to prevent binding and ensure smooth operation.

Tuning notes: moving to a 66mm dogbone changes driveline engagement and spacing and can affect throttle response; choose this length when slipper clutch setup or clearance demands the extra length, and verify bearing seating and axle alignment after installation.

Compatibility

  • Supported Chassis B-YZ4SF
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Using a longer centre dogbone can alter driveline engagement timing and load transfer, which may change throttle feel and traction. After fitting, fine tune slipper settings and test in controlled runs to assess handling changes.
Remove the front assembly, test-fit the 66mm dogbone with outdrives and slipper components, check for full cup engagement and no binding, then secure and recheck axle alignment and bearing seating before track use.
