Tune rear roll and camber with the S4-018A on YZ-4S

The S4-018A rear shock tower uses 4mm graphite and is designed for 1/10 scale YZ-4 series touring car chassis. It serves as an aftermarket replacement that locates the rear shock mounts and changes torsional behavior at the rear end.

Compatibility includes the B-YZ4SF and YZ-4S chassis variants. When installing, confirm hole alignment with existing posts and reuse the factory six-point fasteners when appropriate to keep original suspension geometry intact.

Specifications

  • Item Rear shock tower
  • Material Graphite, 4mm thickness
  • Model Number S4-018A

Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
A thicker graphite tower increases local stiffness, reducing rear flex and often producing a sharper turn-in. Use it in combination with shock tuning for best results.
Yes, the tower provides mounting options that change leverage and damper response. Small adjustments to shock angles can significantly affect mid-corner balance.
The S4-018A pairs well with firmer springs and higher damping; the added stiffness complements those changes but may require roll bar tuning to balance handling.
Start with shock position and spring rate, then adjust damping to suit. Finally assess roll bar and toe settings to achieve the desired cornering behavior.
